GOLDEN MEAN reflects the Golden Mean of classical Greek philosophy: the fine balance between opposing extremes. It was a thing of beauty, made up of symmetry, proportion and harmony and may be considered to be the western equivalent of the Buddhist ‘Middle Way.’
Our logo is a variation of the classic Taoist ‘yin yang’ symbol, that represents the harmonious union of complementary opposites, contained within a pair of healing hands. The ‘yin yang’ symbol of our logo represents the harmonising of opposing forces in the body through Remedial Massage, thereby bringing about healing.
Our Remedial Massage uses western practice and medical knowledge supplemented with traditional Chinese medical knowledge and philosophy, always with the aim restoring bodily health by re-establishing the body system’s inner balance.
